The name Patskills was coined by Nenad Tomov who inspired the creation of the courses. Nenad's difficulties with the EQE led us to realise that his work experience was counterproductive for exam purposes. No available training course was helpful, so together we conceived new courses that we planned to present together, where I would be the "grandfather" and Nenad the successful candidate. Meantime the DSA patents expired, our patent department shrunk and Nenad was shunted/promoted to a marketing function. So I began Patskills alone. But Nenad never gave up the idea of one day succeeding in the exam. Later, he returned to patents, persevered, passed the Exam, became head of Bracco's patent department in Geneva, and started as a tutor. Nenad died tragically in the SR111 crash. His spirit is ever present in the courses he inspired. |
